The South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) University is a premier Institute of higher learning for policy making. It is dedicated to promote peace and stability in South Asia through research and education.

SASSI university is a leading contributor to South Asian security problematic. The work and studies carried out are intended at bringing together the Various schools of thought ranging from social natural sciences as well as the policy makers journalists and academia. It’s remit goes beyond nuclear stability to include the wider issues of chemical and biological weapons, conventional force balance civil military relations, social and political stability religious extremism and security issues. In addition SASSI University hopes to increase its research on issues such as energy politics climate change and innovative sciences in South and South West Asian region. The university also regularly conducts workshops, meetings and seminars of renowned academicians policy makers and researchers so as to create an intellectual environment for alternative policy choices . one of the major aims of the university is promoting and disseminating of knowledge and technology by employing both conventional and innovative ideas. In this regard it cooperates with universities public authorities and private organizations Inside as well as outside Pakistan Welcoming young scholars to apply new ideas in peace and security

The South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) has been granted the status of degree awarding University pursuant to Act No VI of 2013 approved by national assembly of Pakistan on 13 March 2013 . The aim, purpose and objectives of the university are to promote and disseminate knowledge training research and development in the fields of social sciences and natural sciences and emerging technologies.

The programs are developed with the aim to equip the country’s youth with the technologies and skill sets of international standards and knowledge base necessary for the future leaders and as a vanguatd of Pakistan’s advancement within the international community as a 21st century state
